Operating Room Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse (RN)

Nealy Pierce has been retained by a rapidly growing not-for-profit Level II Trauma Center on their Magnet Journey, to assist in the recruitment of a Registered Nurse for a Nurse Manager role over their Operating Room.  This is permanent, direct hire position and an interim/travel assignment is not an option.

This organization offers a state-of-the-art Surgical Service Line with a recently completed high-end Operating Room, offering the latest technology across all their departments.  This position will manage the day-to-day operations of a 10-suite inpatient OR conducting over 500 surgeries per month including several hundred Open Heart Surgeries <x{(}>(CABG, TAVR, etc).  We are looking for a nurse who is a critical thinker, innovative, and passionate about patient care above all else.  Individuals who can provide new ideas on how to improve the OR focusing on best practices, core measures, and improving patient and employee satisfaction.  This hospital has an incredibly strong team of staff nurses and physicians with a great working relationship and a great reputation within the state and have experienced tremendous growth accordingly.

Nurse Manager Operating Room Requirements:

  •  Minimum experience as a Charge Nurse, Educator, or Clinical Coordinator in a Surgical Services environment
  •  2+ years experience in an acute hospital operating room highly preferred
  •  Patient focused, servanthood mindset with a collaborative leadership approach
  •  Ability to provide excellent clinical care and mentor / educate others
  •  Team driven and works well with others
  •  Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors <x{(}>(BSN) highly preferred
  •  Certifications in CNOR or CSSM preferred
