About the Hospital and Department:

• Growing, well-loved academic medical center
• Position will manage a growing 28 bed ED and 11 bed Central Decision Unit with a team of 70 FTE's
• Well supported by a team of Assistant Managers/Charge Nurses and an ED Educator
• Reports directly to an inspirational and transformational Chief Nursing Officer

About the Emergency Department Director (RN)

Primary responsibilities will include establishing the strategic direction of the department, establishing goals and initiatives, serving as a mentor to the nursing team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building positive physician relationships. We are seeking a collaborative and dynamic leader who will be able to ensure the best patient care is provided to our community.

Qualifications & Requirements for Emergency Department Director (RN):

• Master's degree required (MSN or BSN is required)
• Active RN License
• 5+ years of ER clinical nursing experience required
• 2+ years of ER leadership experience as a Manager or Director required
• Proven track record of improving employee satisfaction/engagement, throughput times, and patient experience/satisfaction
• INSPIRATIONAL and collaborative leadership style
