About the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Critical Care Position:
- Our CNS' enjoy working in a highly collegial and collaborative work environment with other CNS' at both at the hospital level and across the system
- Position reports to a transformational and collaborative Director who believes in advocating for her team to help them deliver the best patient care, and has been with the system for the majority of her nursing career
- The CNS will develop and manage initiatives and projects, standardize processes and practices, participate at the system level leading quality teams, look at current practices, identify any gaps in care, and ensure the department is providing the safest and highest level of patient care
- CNS will exemplify the mission and vision for the Hospital, Nursing, and the Department of Nursing Practice
Qualifications and Requirements of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Critical Care Role:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required (must be Clinical Nurse Specialist track)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- New Grad CNS' will be considered for the role with at least three (3) years of ICU nursing experience
- National certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) required or must be able to obtain prior to start date
- Should possess the proven ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with other health care providers, students, instructors, and leaders
