Director of Nursing – Emergency Department Service Line

Nealy Pierce has been retained by a prominent and growing Magnet Designated, not-for-profit, Level I Trauma Center, to assist in the recruitment of a Nurse Director for their Emergency Department Services. This position will oversee the entire ED service line with over 35-beds and 75+ FTEs with a strong support structure. This health system is one of the top in the Southwest and regionally recognized as a leader in healthcare services. The entire organization maintains a servant-leadership mindset and is passionate about patient care, quality and safety above all else. The Emergency Department has a highly engaged staff and a brand new facility with cutting edge technology and offers excellent Door to Doc times, throughput, and patient safety metrics.

Director of Emergency Services Requirements:

  • Operational experience as a Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department required
  • Operational experience as a Director over the Emergency Department service line preferred
  • Strong background as a staff nurse in a high level ED required
  • Working experience in a Level II or Level I Trauma designated ED
  • Ability to work in a collaborative role and champion change
  • Strong physician relationship skill set
  • Bachelors <x{(}>(BSN) required, Masters preferred
